Mahindra is all set to expand its electric SUV portfolio with the launch of the Mahindra XEV 9S, one of the most anticipated EVs of 2025. Scheduled to debut on 27 November 2025, the XEV 9S promises a blend of futuristic design, long-range capability, powerful performance, and genuine 7-seater practicality. Built on Mahindra’s latest INGLO skateboard EV platform, the XEV 9S aims to deliver a premium electric experience for Indian families.

Inside, the XEV 9S is loaded with modern technology and comfort features. Expected highlights include:

  • Triple-screen dashboard layout

    • Digital driver display

    • Large infotainment screen

    • Front passenger display

The cabin is designed with a modern layout, soft-touch materials, and class-leading tech, making it a very premium 7-seater EV.

The Mahindra XEV 9S is built on the company’s state-of-the-art INGLO skateboard platform, specially designed for electric vehicles. This platform allows a flat-floor layout, improved structural strength, and a spacious cabin layout. Mahindra showcased its EV technology with the BE and XUV.e concepts earlier, and the XEV 9S is the next step toward a mass-market, premium EV future.

With growing demand for electric SUVs and the increasing push toward sustainable mobility, the XEV 9S is positioned to capture the attention of modern Indian families looking for style, technology, and practicality.

Exterior Design: Bold, Modern, and Futuristic

Mahindra has adopted a clean, futuristic design language for the XEV 9S. The SUV features an aerodynamic full-electric styling approach that differentiates it from petrol and diesel SUVs. Some key exterior elements include:

  • Closed-off front grille, typical of EVs

  • Full-width LED light bar across the front and rear

  • Sharp L-shaped LED DRLs

  • Sleek, sculpted body lines

  • Large alloy wheels with EV-friendly aero design

  • Floating roofline for a premium look

The SUV’s stance is bold and confident, and its proportions make it visually dominant. The LED signature lighting adds an aggressive character, making the XEV 9S stand out on the road both during the day and at night.

The INGLO platform helps create a longer wheelbase and widened cabin space, giving the SUV a more muscular appearance while still retaining aerodynamic efficiency.

 Luxurious & Feature-Rich Interior

Step inside, and you’re greeted with an elegant and comfortable cabin. The Track Edition features Tupelo leatherette upholstery with Spruce Beige contrast stitching, offering both class and comfort. The dashboard and door trims are finished in Dark Espresso and Smoke Chrome, while the Cortina leather-wrapped steering wheel adds a soft, premium feel to your grip. You’ll also find Track Edition-branded floor mats, completing the luxury experience.

On the tech front, Jeep hasn’t held back. The SUV comes equipped with a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, premium 9-speaker Alpine sound system, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and ventilated front seats with 8-way power adjust and memory function make it one of the most feature-packed SUVs in its class.
